The George, Launceston's newest hotel brings modern accommodation to a site rich with history. This stunning hotel in the heart of the CBD features 38 stylish contemporary guest rooms.

About the Role

Full time and Casual positions available.

As a Guest Service Agent, you will have a visible passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be part of the Front Office Team which is the main connection between our guest and the hotel. Our Guest Service Agents are instrumental in ensuring our guests enjoy their stay. They are responsible for:

  • Welcoming all guests and fulfilling the check-in process for guests and group arrivals.
  • Complete the check-out process for departing guests.
  • Maximise sales revenue through up-selling and marketing programs.
  • Manage, effectively and efficiently, guest requests, inquiries, and complaints.
  • Maintain current knowledge of hotel products, services, and special promotional offers.
  • Perform general incoming communications duties including answering telephone calls and responding to emails.

Skills & Experience

  • You must have at least 1 years experience working in a 4 star hotel reception environment.
  • Knowledge of Front Office Systems, RoomMaster, Siteminder etc desirable.
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation.
  • Experience in customer services with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • You must be able to deliver an intelligent, sleek and professional style of service.
  • Flexibility with a 7 day rotating roster.
