Location: Walpole, Western Australia
The Warren Region is home to the well-known D'Entrecasteaux and Walpole Nornalup national parks as well as the recently created Walpole Wilderness area and Walpole Nornalup Inlets Marine Park. Many other parks and reserves as well as significant areas of State forest make up the majority of the land that we manage. The landscape of the region include a diversity of coastal heath, tall karri forests to open jarrah and wandoo woodlands to the remnant Tingle forest. The region has wetlands of international and national significance, pristine estuaries and wild rivers.

We currently have an opportunity for a District Parks and Visitor Services Coordinator to join our team.
Under the limited direction of the District Manager, this position:
- Coordinates the parks and visitor services program in the Frankland district across terrestrial and marine estate, ensuring high quality outcomes are produced in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with the department's management policies, practices and guidelines.
- Is responsible for management planning, community liaison, program budget, business plans, capital works programs and managing staff within the parks and visitor services program in relation to terrestrial and marine parks and reserves in the district.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in parks and visitor services, and natural resource management; including planning, coordinating and implementing project works, understanding the threats to conservation and wildlife values associated with parks and visitor services work, and knowledge of Visitor Risk Management principles and practices.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in effective management and leadership of teams, in handling complex and detailed information requests and in communicating and liaising with other government departments, industry, stakeholders, Aboriginal Traditional Owners, community interest groups, and the media.
- Demonstrated experience and competence in financial management and administration, and other management systems, including contract management, risk management and information technology.
