The Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association (MRBTA) is a self-funded, not-for-profit, incorporated association with over 50 years' experience in supporting the Margaret River Region to thrive through tourism.

Our diverse team of over 150 employees is spread across the precious patch of earth between Busselton and Augusta. We share a common passion for the region and we are driven by a vision to produce outcomes from tourism which make it a better place to live, work and visit.

Our vision is supported by a unique organisational structure which allows us to perform the functions of both:

Australia's largest Local Tourism Organisation (LTO): Performed by our Tourism Division, which seeks to develop a robust tourism industry through considered destination management, contemporary marketing and visitor servicing, incisive industry capacity and capability building, and influential advocacy.

Capes Foundation: This Division seeks to sustain and share our region's rich environment, history and culture at the eight sites entrusted in our care –Ngilgi, Lake, Mammoth & Jewel caves, Cape Naturaliste & Cape Leeuwin lighthouses, Eagles Heritage, and Forest Adventures – and by working collaboratively with partners on regional initiatives.

About the Role

Are you a real people person who prides themselves on providing fantastic customer service? Are you confident and motivated? Do you love sharing your passion for the Margaret River Region? If so, you may be perfect for this role

MRBTA's Visitor Services Consultants are regional experts who are responsible for welcoming visitors and sharing their passion for the region.

We are looking for casual staff to work at BOTH the Busselton and Margaret River Visitor Centres on an ongoing basis, particularly over the busy periods including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

As a member of the Visitor Services team, you will:

· Provide exceptional customer service, making suggestions for things to see and do in the region and helping with itinerary planning

· Process bookings and sales using booking platforms and POS systems

· Take pride in the presentation of the Visitor Centre

· Support and demonstrate MRBTA's values and professional standards

· Work with an inspiring and fun team who are highly passionate about the Margaret River Region

· Previous customer service/retail/tourism industry knowledge is desirable but not essential

The successful applicant will

· Be available at (sometimes) short notice, able to cover anywhere from 4 hour to 7.5 hour shifts and willing to work public and school holidays

· Have a 'C' class license and be willing to work between the Busselton and Margaret River Visitor Centres as operational requirements arise

· Possess a keen sense of exploration and desire to grow knowledge of the region

How to apply
