Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of Brand and Marketing with an entrepreneurial zest to join AOP's senior leadership team. This all-rounder newly created role will lead brand strategy, marketing execution, and team development ensuring AOP becomes synonymous with global impact and philanthropic excellence among (UHNW) donor segment in Australia.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Sydney with a flexible hybrid work structure and reports directly to the CEO. The position is ideally suited for an experienced senior manager seeking to step into an executive leadership role.
Key Responsibilities

Brand Vision & Strategic Positioning -
Own and elevate AOP's brand vision and reputation at the highest level. Define and evolve the brand identity and narrative to deeply resonate with UHNW donors and strategic partners across all platforms from digital to print to events. Work closely with the executive team to maintain a unified and compelling brand story.

Integrated Marketing Leadership -
Lead the development and execution of dynamic, multi-channel marketing plans tailored to high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate philanthropists. Deliver engaging donor materials, impactful storytelling assets, and high-touch engagement tools that drive relationship-building and funding growth.

Campaigns, Media & Digital Communications -
Own end-to-end campaign management—from creative ideation to performance analysis. Ensure compelling, brand-aligned content across key channels such as LinkedIn, Meta, and Substack. Maximise media presence through strategic PR, securing high-impact placements, and opportunities for AOP's impactful work to shine.

Team Development & Leadership -
Inspire and develop a high-performing marketing team by fostering creativity, accountability, and continuous learning. Build a culture where innovation thrives and each team member can grow as a strategic brand steward.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships -
Cultivate meaningful relationships with media, influencers, sector partners, and UHNW donors. Collaborate across departments to create authentic narratives and experiences that support fundraising efforts and stakeholder events, amplifying AOP's impact and engagement.

Data-Driven Insights for Brand Excellence -
Use market insights and data analytics to refine messaging and maximise ROI. Ensure consistent brand governance, effective marketing systems, and operational efficiency while overseeing budget management.

Strategic External Engagements -
Build and nurture valuable relationships with technical experts and subject matter specialists whilst strengthening institutional partnerships across donors, media, academia, private sector, government, and other collaborators to amplify AOP's impact and reach.

Ideal Candidate
· Minimum 5 years' experience working as a senior Brand/Marketing Lead, with a strong track record of materially growing brand recognition within target segments.
· Experience in brand and marketing and deep understanding of Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) behaviour and expectations
· Demonstrated strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute high-impact initiatives.
· Strong creative instincts combined with a commercial approach.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Proven ability to manage and lead teams across multiple office locations.
· Entrepreneurial drive and proactive approach.
· Experience reporting to, or working closely with, the CEO or Senior Leadership Team.
