About the role:
We're seeking a People and Culture Coordinator to lead a dynamic team in delivering strategic and operational HR services that drive meaningful organisational outcomes. This is an opportunity to make a real impact – not just in your role, but in the way the City attracts, engages, develops, and supports its people. This position is Full Time on a 3 to 5 year Fixed Term contract.
Reporting to the Manager People, Culture and Strategy, you will lead the team in delivering professional services on a broad range of matters including:
- Strategic workforce planning and organisational development
- Employee and industrial relations, providing specialist advice and support
- Talent acquisition, onboarding and retention strategies
- Payroll and contract management
- Development and deployment of organisational training and programs
- Culture and engagement initiatives aligned with our Company values
You'll work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement workforce strategies that support current and future organisational needs, ensuring the City remains a great place to work.
What you'll bring to the role:
You will align with our values and ideally have the following competencies:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field
- Strong leadership experience in a contemporary Human Resources team
- A thorough understanding of State and Federal Industrial Relations systems and employment legislation
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- A strategic mindset with the ability to deliver operational excellence
The successful applicant will also be required to provide a National Police Clearance no more than six months old.
