About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and self-motivated Company Accountant. This is a standalone role responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, as well as supporting general administrative coordination.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the smooth financial operations of the business.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full set of accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries, accounting schedules, and monthly financial reports (Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Statement, and Balance Sheet).
  • Process vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor bank balances and cash flow to ensure adequate funds for business operations.
  • Perform creditors' statement reconciliation and maintain accurate supplier records.
  • Prepare and issue tax invoices to customers and manage credit control and collections efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide financial insights to management.
  • Review and support corporate income tax computations and submissions in coordination with external tax agents.
  • Prepare and lodge monthly BAS returns and ensure compliance with ATO requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors from head office during audits and year-end reporting.
  • Support general finance and administrative coordination tasks, including filing, documentation, and office-related matters.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A team player who is meticulous, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Prior audit and commercial experience will be an advantage.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Xero accounting software preferred.
