Pinnacle Hire is now fully operational offering a full suite of services including site inspection, rapid equipment deployment, site monitoring and servicing across Australia, including two locations in TAS. Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in the equipment hire, construction, civil, or infrastructure sectors
  • Proven track record of winning and growing Tier 1 and Tier 2 infrastructure or civil projects
  • Strong network across Tasmania's civil contractors, utilities, councils, and government infrastructure bodies
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end sales process – from prospecting and tendering through to contract negotiation and ongoing relationship management
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to read and interpret project specs, scopes, and drawings
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills – able to influence stakeholders from site managers to project directors
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote regional role, while maintaining strong alignment with national goals
  • Current driver's licence

Tasks & responsibilities

Sales Growth & Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across the construction, infrastructure, civil, and industrial sectors.
  • Grow Pinnacle's market share in pump hire and water management solutions across Tasmania.
  • Proactively generate leads, qualify prospects, and prepare detailed quotes and proposals.
  • Execute on agreed sales strategies and regional business plans.

Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1, Tier 2, and local contractors.
  • Manage existing customer accounts to ensure ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct regular site visits and project follow-ups to ensure project success and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.

Pipeline Management & Reporting

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Provide weekly updates on pipeline activity, forecasted revenue, and market intelligence.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity and industry trends in Tasmania.

Collaboration & Team Support

  • Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless project delivery and equipment availability.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, finance, and fleet) to support business initiatives.
  • Actively participate in national sales meetings and contribute to team-wide performance.

Customer Experience & Brand Representation

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service and uphold Pinnacle Hire's reputation in the marketplace.
  • Represent Pinnacle at local industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Educate clients on Pinnacle's capabilities, fleet, and innovative water management solutions.

Administration & Compliance

  • Ensure contracts, hire agreements, and pricing are accurate and in line with company policies.
  • Manage the timely completion of documentation, risk assessments, and any required permits.
  • Uphold workplace health and safety standards when engaging with clients and visiting sites.

KPIs might include:

  • Monthly revenue targets

  • Quote-to-win ratio
  • Site visits and client engagement metrics
