Join the Civmec Team

Civmec are currently seeking Experienced Welders and Special Class Welders to join our Construction division working on a 2:1 DIDO roster.

This is a great opportunity to join our team and be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering both Civil and SMP packages on a long term project.

The Role

  • Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
  • Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes
  • Perform the welding of steel components in all positions
  • Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures
  • Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW
  • Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components
  • Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
  • Current High risk elevating work platform license and VOC
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
  • Previous construction experience
  • Ability to attend and pass a 3G/4G/6G MMAW, MIG, SAW and FCAW Inner-shield Weld Test before mobilisation
  • Experience in Tank Welding
