About the role

SBR Contracting is seeking a talented Poly Welder to join their team in WA. This is a casual role that offers flexible work arrangements. As a Poly Welder, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient joining of polyethylene pipes and fittings, ensuring the integrity of critical infrastructure projects in the mining and resources industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform polyethylene welding to the highest industry standards
  • Operatation of Mcelroy and Dixon welding equipment working on pipes, fittings and pre-fabrication items.
  • Follow and Document welds to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements
  • Maintain welding equipment and work area to a high standard
  • Collaborate with the wider construction team to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and procedures

What we're looking for

  • HDPE Welder Certification
  • Demonstrated experience as a Poly Welder, preferably in the mining and resources sector
  • Proficient in using multiple pieces of welding equipment and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
