The Organisation
A dynamic, high-growth organisation and recognised leader in its field, this organisation partners with clients on critical work as they navigate complexity, manage risk, and adapt to an increasingly digital world. With a global footprint and a reputation for specialist expertise delivered with a strong customer focus, its trajectory reflects bold ambition backed by significant international expansion already underway. Supporting this growth is a commitment to innovation and continuous investment in talent, ensuring the organisation remains agile, highly sought after, and firmly future-focused.
The Director, People Services will play a pivotal role in shaping a function that supports this scaling and globally ambitious business, ensuring it is fit for both today and the future.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director, People Services will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, modernising service delivery, and enabling scalability as the business continues to expand. The remit includes leading a small but high-performing payroll team with a strong compliance record, supporting reward governance and leading the delivery of HR Services. A key focus is HR Services transformation, with the opportunity to design a tiered service model, digitise core processes, and enhance employee experience as per business needs. As custodian of people data and systems, this role will ensure robust reporting, analytics, and compliance that supports ongoing growth.
About You
You are an experienced People Services leader with a background in professional services, technology, or consulting environments. While an understanding of how large organisations structure HR Services is valuable, success in this role will be best supported by experience gained in agile, small-to-medium enterprises—where balancing both strategic priorities and hands-on operational delivery is essential.
Additionally, you bring:
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing function, set direction, and embed a culture of continuous improvement aligned to organisational growth.
- Confidence and significant experience in overseeing payroll.
- Familiarity with remuneration frameworks and reward governance.
- Experience leveraging the technology to drive optimisation, automation, and enhanced workforce experience.
- Proven ability to design and implement tiered service models, supported by modern systems and digital enablement.
- Strong data orientation, with attention to detail in reporting, analytics, and compliance to meet Board, Executive expectations.
- A collaborative, pragmatic leadership style with credibility to influence senior leaders.
