This encompasses various aspects such as underground and overhead high voltage transmission systems, substations and switchyards, diesel and gas-fired turbines, wind farms, battery storage systems, and mining process plants. RJE Global is currently going through an exciting growth period with a strong pipeline of projects and hence we are seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst to help us keep on top of our cyber security obligations.
We are looking for an individual contributor that will report directly to the Senior Manager - Soft Engineering and support both the IT and Software teams on cyber security best practice. You will also be handy for advising our commercial teams on any cyber security clauses in contract review.
About the Job:
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Software Engineering and IT, the early-career Cyber Security Analyst will join our technology team and help establish robust practices across our renewable energy infrastructure operations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape security strategy while working with cutting-edge construction management systems and enterprise platforms.
Initial Focus:
- Document and assess current security posture across our technology environment including Bastion platform, IMS databases, and project management systems
- Identify and remediate immediate security vulnerabilities and implement quick wins
- Support IT team to deploy, configure and maintain XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) tools
- Monitor security events and respond to incidents
Progression to Governance:
- Lead ISO 27001 certification preparation and implementation
- Support ongoing DISP membership application process, including compliance with Essential 8 ML2
- Develop and maintain Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation
- Create security policies, procedures, and standards
- Conduct risk assessments and manage remediation efforts
Ongoing Activities:
- Advise development teams on security best practices for in-house software
- Support secure Docker deployments and CI/CD pipeline security as skills develop
- Collaborate with IT team on infrastructure security
- Support commercial team in reviewing cyber security clauses in project contracts
- Provide security guidance across the Lighthouse Industries group companies
What you will bring:
Essential:
- 1-3 years of experience in cyber security or related IT security roles
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools and incident response
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and governance principles
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Demonstrated passion for cyber security and continuous learning
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks products (particularly Cortex XDR)
- Programming or DevOps knowledge (Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
- Security certifications (Security+, CySA+, or similar)
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks
