We are looking for a Library Branch Supervisor to lead our vibrant City Library

Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced library professional to lead the team at our vibrant City Library located in the heart of Shellharbour.

This exciting role will support our dynamic and innovative staff in providing a welcoming library experience and promote all that our libraries have to offer. You will manage the daily operations of City Library and work collaboratively within the Libraries & Museum team to deliver inspiring programs and leading-edge libraries for our community and customers.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

  • A Library Diploma or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in library and information services.

  • Customer-centric experience: Proven success in customer-facing roles, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills that foster community interactions.

  • Exceptional communication skills: Confident and articulate in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse audiences.

  • Experience in the delivery of library services

  • Advanced digital literacy: Proficient across a range of devices, platforms, apps and software and the confidence to support customers in navigating technology.

  • Team Leadership: A collaborative mindset with experience in supervising, mentoring and developing staff in a dynamic team environment.
