Isaac Regional Council is seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanical Fitter to join our Fleet Department. Reporting to the Coordinator Plant & Workshops, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and servicing Council's diverse fleet of vehicles, plant, and equipment — both in the workshop and out in the field.

This is your chance to contribute to the strategic asset management of a regional council that values safety, innovation, and community service.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Experience in auto electrical repairs and field diagnostics
  • Blue/White Card
  • Current C Class Open Australian Driver's Licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment
  • Strong mechanical experience across light/heavy vehicles and heavy plant
  • Welding and fabrication skills (highly regarded)
  • Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety
  • Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
