About the role:

Proactively engage, guide and support clients to achieve orientation outcomes, through the delivery of the Orientation Program and assessment of client competencies.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

• Fluency in the community language(s) listed above
• A current valid Working with Children Check (Employee) for Victoria
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including working with clients from a strengths-based approach
• Demonstrated capacity to respond flexibly to changing program requirements and individual client needs
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism appropriate to the requirements of the role
• Understanding of settlement issues and sound knowledge of services relevant to newly arrived communities
• Demonstrated commitment to team work
• Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to deliver information in multi-lingual environments and working with bi-lingual staff and interpreters
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently, be highly accountable, as well as being able to work collaboratively and cooperatively as part of a diverse team in a busy environment
• Understands and acts on the benefits of working across a number of different programs in an integrated service model
• Sound IT skills and confidence utilising digital resources
• Experience meeting strict program, regulations and standards requirements
• Demonstrated commitment to values of integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES Australia Vision and Mission
