The Role – Security Technician
You'll work as part of a highly skilled team, where you will:
- Install, service and commission security and nurse call systems to the highest standards.
- Provide technical support to clients and colleagues.
- Attend routine, non-routine, and after-hours service calls, diagnosing and repairing systems as required.
- Deliver accurate service reports promptly for invoicing and job tracking.
- Represent Teknocorp professionally at client sites.
- Manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and complete admin tasks.
- Apply troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment or software issues.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in security and / or nurse call system service, maintenance, and installation.
- Knowledge of IP CCTV, Access Control, and Alarm Systems.
- Hands-on experience with systems such as Gallagher, Inner Range, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon.
- Experience with Austco or Sedco Nurse Call products would be highly advantageous although training can be provided.
- Provide and receive technical support to end users and field labour when applicable.
- Programming and troubleshooting skills.
- High-level customer service focus and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with a self-starter mindset.
- Solid mechanical / electrical aptitude and proficiency in MS Office.
- Willingness to travel locally (minimal overnight stays).
- Flexibility to participate in an on-call roster.
Licences & Certifications
- Current Victorian Security Licence.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- White Card and relevant trade certifications.
- OH&S awareness.
- EWP Licence (desirable).
- Vendor / system certifications (e.g. Gallagher, Integriti) highly regarded.
