About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a full-time permanent role based in Waikerie. Reporting to the Joint Managing Directors, you will oversee production, maintenance, quality assurance, and packing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple teams and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production, quality control, maintenance, and packing operations.
  • Coordinate staffing levels, rosters, and out-of-hours work requirements.
  • Oversee training programs for operational staff, including compliance and quality standards.
  • Manage maintenance schedules, budgets, and preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, audits, and certification requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across operations.
  • Oversee WHS systems and ensure workplace safety compliance.
  • Manage staff performance, reviews, and conflict resolution in partnership with HR.
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain wage and payroll oversight.
  • Promote positive culture, communication, and team effectiveness across departments.

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or food production.
  • Strong understanding of operational systems, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead change and foster continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of WHS obligations and ability to manage safety systems effectively.
