Job Description
About the Team
KPMG Enterprise is a specialist division of KPMG Australia, dedicated to supporting mid-market organisations with their technology strategy, growth, and transformation. We work with a diverse client base including entrepreneurs, family businesses, private clients, purpose-led organisations, government, education, and fast-growing companies. What makes our work exciting is the opportunity to help these organisations transform end-to-end—from front-of-house customer experiences to back-of-house operations.
Our Enterprise Technology Advisory team is at the forefront of this transformation, guiding clients through complex technology initiatives and helping them build scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
About the Role
As a Manager in the Enterprise Technology Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering technology advice and solutions to our clients. You will:
- Guide clients through complex technology initiatives, shaping architectural strategies and delivering future-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyse, workshop, and generate actionable insights.
- Support engagement pursuits including opportunity identification, qualification, and planning.
- Contribute to the development of service offerings across IT strategy, business transformation, and technology growth.
- Invest in your own development to become one of KPMG's future technology leaders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and present architectural roadmaps, solution blueprints, and technical assessments.
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for non-technical audiences.
- Apply structured thinking and analysis techniques to ambiguous problems.
- Link business processes to technology requirements through process architecture and design.
- Drive client delivery around data and architecture capabilities.
- Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Stay curious and informed about emerging technologies and trends.
Experience
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Expertise in enterprise architecture, data management, and digital transformation.
- A strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the Education sector.
- Experience in data analytics, data governance, and AI strategy.
- You're a skilled project manager with a passion for strategic thinking and the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion—establishing project scope, defining performance baselines, setting key milestones, creating work breakdown structures, and managing resources effectively
- Experience working in a technology role at an educational institution (e.g., university) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with education-specific platforms such as LMS, SIS, and EdTech solutions.
- Experience in a data/AI advisory role or similar consulting environment.
How Are You Extraordinary?
- You're a big-picture thinker with the ability to see projects through from start to finish.
- You're a natural teambuilder who thrives in diverse, multidisciplinary environments.
- You communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively—both in writing and verbally.
- You're passionate about learning and exploring emerging technologies.
- You bring structured problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset to everything you do.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Commerce, or a related field.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, PMP or equivalent (highly desirable).
- Certifications in DMBOK, Azure Data/AI Fundamentals, or Generative AI are also valued.
