What will this role achieve?
The Product Manager - New Business, plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, strategy, and growth for emerging products. This role demands a visionary leader with a keen understanding of market trends, consumer needs, and the competitive landscape. The Product Manager – New Business will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from conception to market launch, ensuring that new business initiatives align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

What will be your key deliverables?
Responsibilities
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities for new products. Analyse consumer behaviour, market trends, and competitor strategies to inform new product development (NPD).
- Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy. Set product goals and objectives that align with brand and business strategies & priorities.
- Product Development: Lead cross-functional project teams through the product development lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, testing, and launch. Ensure timely delivery and high-quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing, sales, engineering, and customer support teams, to ensure product success.
- Financial analysis & planning: Oversee budgeting and financial analysis & planning for new product initiatives. Ensure cost-effective strategies and optimize resources.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance post-launch. Analyse key metrics and feedback to iterate and improve the product.
- Customer Focus: Drive customer-centric strategies. Gather and analyse customer feedback to ensure the product meets and exceeds their expectations.

Essential:
- To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the right to work in Australia
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience in product management, preferably in a new business or startup environment.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams with Project Management experience in an FMCG environment. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Commercial acumen, including solid financial analysis and understanding of the fundamental drivers of a P&L
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build networks and connections
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills – an ability to create a clear and concise message and tell a story
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills – logical thinker with strong attention to detail
- Customer Orientation: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into product features
