About Us
ITT Blakers is a company that specializes in servicing, testing, maintaining and commissioning industrial pumps for the resources industry. We have a large team of engineers in house that specialise in providing technical advice, QAQC, engineering specifications and designs, whilst ensuring that the lay out, design and modifications of pumps, guarding, baseplates and all auxiliary equipment meet industry, product and customer specifications.
What we're looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated Engineering Team Leader with centrifugal pump experience to work in our Wangara facility. They must have tertiary engineering qualifications and be able to work efficiently and accurately within a team environment, be customer focused, self-disciplined and be good with people. In addition, we are looking for someone with:
- A sound technical background in rotating equipment with emphasis on pumps and services
- Prior experience within the mining industry and demonstrated knowledge of aftermarket activities, including on site, is essential
- A trade background or tertiary education in a related field
- Exceptional communication skills, oral, written and computer
- Drivers licence
- Willingness and ability to travel within WA, interstate and overseas if required.
- Leading solution initiatives throughout the regional organization working with sales, operations and management groups to maximize customer value and growth potential.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Providing management support to the team (3-5 direct reports)
- Administering project activities from conceptualization to execution including technical specifications, stage inspections, progress monitoring, site management and manpower planning
- Reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, quotes and proposals.
- Interpreting specifications or technical issues (product or customer)
- Procuring project material and relaying solutions to the sales team and converting requirements into final designs and scope of works
- Manage upgrades, re-engineering, new lay outs, design and modifications to pumps, guarding, baseplates, and all auxiliary equipment to meet industry, product and customer specifications
- Promote and increase market share of IP aftermarket solutions (pump, service, parts (including reverse engineering), retrofits, upgrades and monitoring & Diagnostics) through targeting and developing key customer opportunities
