About the role

The Inventory/Dispatch Officer is responsible for the accurate management of inventory and the delivery of products to our customers in line with production schedules. The role ensures integrity of inventory and procurement data, supports inventory forecasting and purchasing activities and oversees inventory-related functions including funds and sundry items. The position also works closely with the Inventory Coordinator at our Prestons site to maintain effective stock control and dispatch operations in NSW.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the site programs with regular contact with clients and schedulers
  • Monitoring production capacity
  • Planning of production tonnage ahead of time to meet production capacity and customer's requirements.
  • Review schedulers progress against site programs
  • Making date changes in Chrome as needed
  • Manifesting of schedules
  • Providing solutions for late orders relating to scheduling and production errors/delays

Who we are looking for

  • Prior experience in a similar position
  • Certificate IV in Logistics and Supply Chain Principles, Purchasing, Warehouse/Distribution, or Competitive Manufacturing (desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of metro areas
  • Confident with transport legislative requirements (load restraints etc)
  • Efficient computer skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
