About the Role

The Executive Director, Strategic Policy and Data Analytics is a key member of the department's senior leadership team. The role leads the development of financial management policy, drives budget performance, and delivers strategic advice and data-driven insights to support reform initiatives and inform government decision making. It offers a unique opportunity to shape policy direction and contribute to the prosperity of South Australia through evidence-based leadership and innovation.

About You

You are an accomplished leader with:

  • Expertise in financial management, economics, accounting, public policy or related fields.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic, data driven policy development and provide high level advice on complex issues.
  • Demonstrated success leading high performing teams and cross-government initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and political judgement skills.
  • A commitment to professionalism, cultural inclusion, risk management and ethical leadership.
