About the Role

We're looking for a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to join our Brisbane team. In this role, you'll be responsible for both managing a portfolio of existing customers and generating new business across the region. Your focus will be on customer retention, cross-selling, and value-based selling, while also proactively identifying and securing new opportunities through outbound activity and cold calling.

This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, delivering tailored solutions, and growing both new and existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain a portfolio of key customers across the Brisbane region
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities to grow wallet share within existing accounts
  • Use a consultative, value-driven approach to clearly demonstrate the benefits of IOR's solutions
  • Proactively prospect and cold call to generate new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute territory and account growth strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and ongoing support
  • Monitor customer performance, identify risk, and act early to retain accounts
  • Meet and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team goals

About You

  • Proven experience in account management and business development, ideally in fuel, logistics, transport, or industrial services
  • Demonstrated success in cold calling and winning new business
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-first approach
  • Confident communicator with solid commercial acumen
  • Experience in developing account growth strategies and executing them effectively
  • Proficient with CRM tools (e.g. Zoho) and Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and industry events
