An exciting opportunity is available for an HR Manager to join a dynamic, fast-paced global retail organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering effective HR initiatives across the business, supporting leadership teams, and ensuring alignment with both local regulations and global HR strategies.
This is a hands-on and strategic position suited for an HR professional who can confidently manage a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, payroll, compensation, compliance, and workforce engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to support organisational performance and drive effective change initiatives.
- Implement HR strategies that align with broader business goals and contribute to a high-performing workplace.
- Oversee HR operations including labour management, payroll, compensation, and compliance with Australian employment law and Modern Awards (e.g., GRIA, Clerks).
- Support salary review processes and ensure fair, competitive remuneration practices.
- Manage payroll systems and processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide HR advisory services and coaching to managers and team members.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards, injury management, and return-to-work policies.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with international HR programs and standards.
- Promote a culture that reflects the organisation's values and supports continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in a broad HR management role within a fast-paced, retail or customer-centric environment.
- Strong understanding of Australian labour laws, Modern Awards, and payroll-related compliance.
- Ability to coach and guide managers and HR team members effectively.
- Skilled in building strong stakeholder relationships across various levels of the organisation.
- Organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities with a hands-on approach.
- Experience working in a global or multinational environment is highly regarded.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
