About The Role
We are committed to shaping the future of infrastructure by delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that benefit communities worldwide. We know that roads are contested spaces, and as our cities grow, we need to rethink the way we allocate space to provide more sustainable travel choices for everyone. New roads will also need to do more, including considering the ever-growing freight task and the desire for more active transport and green corridors in growth areas.
We are seeking a Roads and Transit Lead in NSW to respond to the changing needs of our cities and communities by driving strategic initiatives, building client relationships, and delivering outstanding results across a diverse portfolio of road and transit projects and consulting engagements in NSW.
This role provides the chance to play a key leadership role within TSA Riley, applying your strategic vision and integrating technical expertise and innovation to deliver exceptional infrastructure solutions. You will oversee a forward-thinking team and have the ability to draw upon national and global talent to support the development of solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams on the development and delivery of road and transit infrastructure projects and consulting engagements.
- Provide guidance to state and local government clients on how to support growth, drive mode shift, and achieve better place outcomes by reimagining how road space is managed and allocated through technology, design, and operational initiatives.
- Provide expert strategic advice on road networks and transit systems.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of projects and consulting engagements, ensuring they meet client requirements, are delivered on time and within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within your team, supporting their growth and development.
- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and expanding our service offerings to clients.
- Take responsibility for P&L and business performance.
About You
- Extensive experience in road and transit infrastructure, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and consulting engagements.
- Ideally experienced in planning for and delivery of active and public transport solutions.
- Outcomes-focused, with the ability to shape staged and interim solutions that lead to achieving long-term visions.
- In-depth knowledge of road and transit infrastructure, systems, operations, project development, and delivery.
- Exceptional leadership, project, and commercial management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and mentor teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Proven experience in collaborating with government agencies, clients, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to represent the company at senior levels.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering, transportation planning, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the roads and transportation sector.
