About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Sector Lead - Water
to drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and client engagement across our water infrastructure portfolio. This leadership role is pivotal in shaping the future of water projects in Australia, from major treatment plants to sustainable urban water solutions. The position is ideally based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the national water sector strategy, aligning with business goals and market opportunities.
- Oversee the delivery of complex water infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and budget targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, utilities, and private sector clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams across engineering, construction, and commercial functions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including tenders and partnerships.
- Champion innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in water infrastructure delivery.
- Mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
About you
- Proven leadership experience in the water sector within construction or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Australian water regulations, standards, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and a passion for sustainable infrastructure.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or related fields.
