Position Overview

We're seeking a strategic and hands-on
Finance Systems Implementation Lead
to drive the configuration, integration and governance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) across our organisation. This is a pivotal role in a transformation programme, responsible for ensuring our financial systems are robust, compliant and scalable.

You'll be the key interface between Finance, Technology, and Operations — leading the setup of all finance-related modules and ensuring seamless integration with Customer Engagement (CE) and Project Operations.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Maintenance

Lead the configuration and ongoing maintenance of core F&O modules:

  • General Ledger
    : Chart of Accounts, financial segments, statutory structures
  • Tax
    : BAS reporting setup and validation across AR/AP/Projects
  • Consolidation
    : Entity setup for statutory reporting
  • Fixed Assets & Leasing
    : Depreciation, tax books, AASB-compliant lease setup
  • AR/AP
    : Customer/supplier setup, price lists, discounts, credit risk management
  • Procurement & Inventory
    : Requisitioning, PO processing, inventory movements, cost revaluation
  • Cash & Bank
    : Reconciliations, cash flow forecasting
  • Expense & Project Accounting
    : Integration with CE/Project Ops
  • Budgeting
    : Basic structures and variance reporting
  • HR
    : Workflow hierarchies for approvals

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure configurations align with statutory and internal control frameworks
  • Maintain audit traceability and support policy implementation

Integration & Collaboration

  • Align F&O with CE and Project Operations
  • Partner with IT and business analysts to support enhancements
  • Ensure data integrity and consistent financial reporting

Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain system documentation
  • Identify automation and efficiency opportunities
  • Support training and capability building

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
  • Strong accounting and statutory reporting knowledge
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and Operations
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience integrating F&O with CE or Project Operations
  • SSRS or Power BI reporting skills
  • Familiarity with AASB, ATO and legal standards
  • Exposure to automation or AI-based data ingestion
