Sydney, New South Wales, Australia CMA CGM Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

CEVA Logistics provides global supply chain solutions to connect people, products and providers all around the world. Present in 170 countries and with more than 110,000 employees spread over 1,300 sites, we are well on our way to achieving our vision: to be a Top 5 global 3PL. We believe that our employees are the key to our success. We want to engage and empower our diverse, global team to co-create value with our customers through our solutions in contract logistics and air, ocean, ground, and finished vehicle transport.

YOUR ROLE

We're seeking a Transport Compliance Advisor to elevate our approach to regulatory obligations and best practice. In this pivotal role, you will partner with multiple business units - including Ground & Rail, Finished Vehicle Logistics, and Contract Logistics - providing expert guidance on Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation, and associated regulatory requirements.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

  • Interpret and monitor evolving CoR and HVNL legislation, adapting CEVA's systems to ensure full compliance across sites, carriers, and transport contractors
  • Develop and manage internal and external audit schedules (e.g., NHVAS, NLSC), conducting in-depth audits and producing detailed reports with actionable recommendations
  • Lead training needs analyses and coordinate the design and delivery of compliance programmes, coaching junior coordinators and advisors in transport legislation and safety best practice
  • Oversee or participate in ICAM investigations, working closely with QHSE teams to conduct root cause analyses and champion safety improvements
  • Collaborate on introducing digital platforms and integrated systems that strengthen CEVA's transport governance framework, ensuring seamless alignment with our Integrated Safety Management Systems
  • Serve as the primary expert for operations teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders on all transport compliance matters.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate has solid experience gained in transport operations, compliance, or training, underpinned by a thorough and detailed understanding of CoR legislation, together with:

  • A proven ability to deliver high-quality training, and communicate complex compliance requirements to diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with accreditation frameworks, particularly the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS), along with strong proficiency in MS Office and report writing
  • Relevant qualifications in CoR, fatigue management, mass, load restraint, or maintenance.
  • Bonus: ICAM Lead Investigator certification (or equivalent)
  • A full driving licence and own vehicle, with the flexibility to travel intrastate as required.

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?

In addition to a challenging and rewarding work environment and competitive compensation, we are proud to offer a range of employee benefits designed to support your wellbeing, and help you thrive at work and in life.

  • Personal wellbeing: prioritise your health and wellbeing through the CEVAwell program, Employee Assistance Program, Volunteer Time Off, and Life & Total Permanent Disability Insurance.
  • Work-life balance: benefit from flexible, hybrid, and remote work options, along with additional paid parental leave for primary carers.
  • Professional development: your growth is essential to us. Unlock your potential through secondment and internal mobility opportunities, study assistance, leadership and mentoring programs, the CMA CGM Learning Academy, early career pathways and more.
  • Financial wellbeing: We care about your financial security. Enjoy exclusive offers and discounts from our partners, novated leasing, annual safety workwear reimbursement, employee referral incentives, service recognition and short-term incentive plans.
