Direct Pool Supplies is looking for a driven and experienced operations manager to lead and oversee our Queensland business based in our Bundall HQ. About the Role

As Operations Manager for Queensland, you'll be responsible for day-to-day operational oversight across our QLD retail stores, warehousing, service teams and trade sales. You'll lead and support local teams while ensuring high service standards, compliance, logistics, and performance — all while keeping a close eye on efficiency and customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is comfortable managing people and processes and rolling up their sleeves when needed.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support daily operations across QLD retail, warehouse, and service teams
  • Coach and lead store and service managers to achieve business targets
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions
  • Monitor stock flow, logistics and service delivery performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, policy, and quality standards
  • Work closely with the national leadership team to align on growth strategy and reporting
  • Lead local recruitment, onboarding and team development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, communication and continuous improvement

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in a retail, service, or operational role
  • Strong understanding of inventory, logistics, and team management
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confident using systems and data to make decisions
  • Proactive, organised and not afraid to get hands-on
  • Experience in the pool, hardware, or trade-related industry is a bonus
  • Valid driver's licence (occasional site visits and travel required)
