Commercial Operations Leader

We are seeking a commercially savvy and operationally skilled leader to drive growth, improve efficiency, and foster a culture of excellence in our QLD operations.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership: Manage the QLD P&L, build and interpret financial models, manage budgets, and understand cost-to-serve.
- Operational Excellence: Lead safe, efficient local transport and warehousing operations, driving process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Safety & Culture First: Embed a safety-first and people-first culture, inspiring direct reports and building team capability through values-driven leadership.
- Customer Engagement: Take accountability for service delivery, build relationships with internal and external clients, and support business development through commercial modelling and tendering.
This is a role for a hands-on leader who can drive commercial decisions, inspire high-performing teams, and transform operational systems. You'll be at the front line of our customer relationships, your service mindset and commercial acumen crucial to how we're perceived by stakeholders.
About You- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within contract logistics or 3PL.
- Strong P&L ownership experience, capable of financial modelling and cost analysis.
- You possess a strong operational vision and leadership skills necessary to guide a team in achieving excellence.
- Experience leading teams through cultural and process change.
- EBA and union experience (preferred).
- Safety, quality, and customer service are non-negotiables.
- Demonstrated experience in automation, Lean principles, or modern warehousing practices is desirable.
- Experience with WMS, SAP, and TMS systems.
- Strong relationship builder with internal stakeholders, frontline teams, and external clients.
