The Role
The Strategy, Policy, and Industry (SP&I) Group is keen to explore opportunities for public servants from all backgrounds. Our work encompasses an array of policy and program development and management roles that will enable you to utilise your abilities to the utmost - and develop new ones that will enrich your future prospects.
EL 1 Strategic and International Policy Managers are accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex policy development, notably as it applies to a range of domestic and international developments and international engagement issues. They will also be responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise-level Defence and strategic policy initiatives and work within an integrated workforce.

We offer flexible working arrangements and a range of formal and informal professional development opportunities. While we offer a high degree of flexibility in the way we work, each position is located in Canberra. As such, successful applicants from outside Canberra would need to relocate to Canberra if successful.
