Empirical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Writer to produce and edit high-level doctrine, policy, and guidance materials that shape national capability outcomes.

You will transform complex technical and strategic concepts into clear, accessible, and authoritative publications for Defence and government audiences.

What You'll Be Doing
Develop, edit, and publish strategic documents, doctrine, and policy frameworks

Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical information into engaging, structured content

Ensure all materials align with communication standards, stakeholder expectations, and organisational objectives

Manage version control and documentation workflows across multidisciplinary teams

Provide strategic writing advice, supporting consistency, clarity, and compliance

What We're Looking For
8+ years' experience in technical or strategic writing within Defence, government, or consulting

Strong understanding of capability management, policy frameworks, or doctrine development

Exceptional communication, research, and editing skills

Ability to work independently and under pressure to deliver high-quality outputs

NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
