About this Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Enrichment Assistants on a Term Time basis, to support students across various levels in the classroom. Term Time will include academic term time plus one week prior to the commencement of students' Term 1 and one week following the end of Term 4.

This position is remunerated at Level 3 of the School Officer Collective Agreement and will commence in January

In this role, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored assistance that enhances student learning and engagement across a range of subjects and abilities. Reporting to the Program Leader - Learning Enrichment, the Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Providing in class support across all year levels, either individually or in groups
  • Providing practical assistance to the Learning Enrichment Coordinator in delivery of the teaching and learning needs of students
  • Supporting students in relation to their physical needs where some discretion and judgement are involved
  • Assisting students with their organisation and developmental skills
  • Creating visual aids to assist students in their understandings of tasks
  • Assisting teachers in preparing, implementing, and supervising learning activities
  • Other duties as requested by the Principal, Director of Finance and Business Operations and/or other College Leadership Team members.

About you

The successful candidate will have a passion for education and student development, with a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic education. The Learning Enrichment Assistant will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, as well as highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Experience within a secondary school is desirable and you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the College's Student Protection Policy and processes. To be able to work alongside our students, you will need to hold a valid Working with Children Check Positive Paid Employee Notice (BlueCard)
