About the Role:

As a Clinical Lead, you'll play an essential role in maintaining excellent clinical care across our home care program. This role involves providing clinical oversight, ensuring compliance with aged care quality standards, supporting staff development, and championing best practices in client care.

You will be responsible for implementing clinical protocols, guiding staff training, and fostering a culture of excellence in client care. This role is ideal for someone with a strong clinical background and a proactive approach to clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Governance & Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Conduct audits and clinical reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Develop and monitor clinical policies and protocols aligned with quality standards.
  • Manage clinical incident reporting, investigations, and follow-ups.

Clinical Care & Support

  • Provide clinical expertise to care teams for safe, evidence-based practices.
  • Oversee client care plans, focusing on clinical needs and risk management.
  • Coordinate with external healthcare providers to support complex client needs.
  • Review client clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Staff Training & Development

  • Design and deliver clinical training and workshops to build staff competencies.
  • Mentor care staff in clinical decision-making and intervention planning.
  • Conduct regular assessments to support continuous skills improvement.

Quality & Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate clinical risks within the organisation.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Analyse clinical performance data, identifying trends and implementing improvements.

Client & Family Engagement

  • Serve as a clinical point of contact for clients and families, addressing their concerns with empathy.
  • Ensure care respects clients' rights, dignity, and personal preferences.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, ideally in aged care, community care, or home care.
  • In-depth knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical compliance.
  • Experience in clinical auditing, staff training, and quality improvement.
  • Skilled in risk assessment, clinical governance, and incident management.
