About The Role:
The department is urgently seeking a
EL1 Senior Program Manager
to deliver seamless coordination and reporting for a major events program. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-moving environment where your expertise will directly impact the success of high-profile events.

EL1

Contract Duration:
June 30, x 12 Month Extension

Location:
Canberra, ACT

Requirements:

  • MUST have a minimum Baseline clearance
  • Selection Criteria Response
  • Ability and willingness to undergo Police check clearance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a master program schedule/roadmap across multiple workstreams
  • Develop and implement best-practice program management processes and tools
  • Deliver clear, robust performance reporting frameworks for program visibility
  • Assist with preparation and review of program plans, functional area plans, and project reports
  • Collate and consolidate program information for executive reporting and planning
  • Facilitate workforce planning activities and coordinate internal working groups
  • Ensure compliance with governance and quality standards throughout the program lifecycle

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering major events or managing complex programs
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Planner, Excel, and Power BI
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Program or project management certification (e.g., MSP, Agile, Scrum) highly desirable
  • Willingness to undertake short-term interstate travel as required
