About the role

Join us as a Senior Sourcing Manager and play a key role in shaping the future of procurement across our organisation. As part of our Capital Works Procurement team, you'll be a trusted advisor, leading smarter sourcing strategies, driving innovation, and ensuring our decisions reflect strong sustainability and governance principles. You'll lead the development of sourcing plans, value chain analysis, and procurement initiatives that deliver tangible outcomes, while supporting the organisation in achieving its strategic goals. This is an exciting opportunity to work on significant capital projects and make a meaningful impact for both Council and the community.

About you

What your experience might look like

  • Tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, commerce, or equivalent experience.
  • Broad procurement knowledge across construction, infrastructure and civil works.
  • Experience in procurement planning, category management, sourcing, and contracts, with strong understanding of legislation and policy.
  • Skilled in developing strategies that deliver value, manage risk, and achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Proven ability to deliver business benefits through cost optimisation, process improvement, innovation, and sustainable outcomes.
  • Collaborative approach to align strategies with goals and negotiate outcomes within time, quality, and budget requirements.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
  • Experience using AS4000, AS4902 will be highly advantageous
