About the role

The Sports Turf Curator will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and renovating turf to the highest standard, including the use of chemicals while adhering to all chemical management processes. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs and reporting of all tools, equipment, and fleet and demonstrate a commitment to the health, wellbeing, and safety of the team.

About you

As the Sports Turf Curator you will have demonstrated experience and a strong knowledge of green keeping and sports turf management. You will thrive in a hands on, physical work environment and will use your high energy levels to lead and motivate others. You will be able to manage you own time and operate effectively with limited supervision.

Qualifications required

Turf Management apprenticeship or equivalent
Current and valid chemical application certificate (ACUP)
Current Driver's License

Desirable Experience, not essential

Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
Experience maintaining turf wickets, maintaining warm and cool season turf surfaces
Experience using a variety of turf machinery
Experience in sports fields line marking
Experience using multi pro sprayer
Experience in inspecting, maintaining, and reporting on all areas associated with green keeping including irrigation, turf, tools, equipment, schedules, and agreements
Strong ability to identify pest and diseases
Demonstrated experience in supervising and motivating staff

Hours of work: 6:40am to 3:10pm Monday to Friday, overtime available but not expected
