About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Champions IGA as a Grocery Manager. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the grocery department and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of this key area of the store. Based in Nagambie, VIC, you will play a vital role in the success of this modern local supermarket.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing and leading the grocery department team, including rostering, training and performance management
  • Maintaining stock levels and inventory control to meet customer demand
  • Implementing effective merchandising and display strategies to drive sales
  • Making informed decisions to optimise grocery department performance
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and food safety regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service and supporting the overall store operations

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a similar grocery management or retail leadership role
  • Excellent people management and team leadership skills
  • Proven track record in driving sales, improving operational efficiency and enhancing the customer experience
  • Passion for the retail industry and a commitment to providing outstanding service
  • Relevant qualifications in retail management, business, or a related field would be highly regarded
