About Australia's Insurance Builders:

AIB provides building and rectification services in the Northern NSW, Greater Sydney, Wollongong down to Ulladulla and inland to southern highlands on behalf of large national insurance companies. Our work encompasses full construction, emergency repairs and maintenance work within the industrial, commercial and residential sectors. We are a friendly and enthusiastic team who work collaboratively to achieve the goal of customer satisfaction and impeccable quality of works.

The role:

We are seeking a building professional to:

  • Attend sites in the Greater Sydney and South Coast Area's
  • Working out of our Taren Point office
  • Review engineers reports/scopes and provide an accurate estimate/timeline for repairs
  • Carry out professional building insurance assessments, provide reports, scope and estimate
  • Carry out roof reports where possible
  • Liaise with loss adjusters and insurance contacts
  • Complete all WHS required – including risk assessments
  • Attend emergency make safe jobs and be a part of the AIB on-call roster also completing make safes during assessments
  • Learn, use and maintain workflow system ( Experience with PRIME Ecosystem and advantage )

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant licenses and tertiary education - Cert IV Building & Construction / carpentry License
  • Extensive knowledge of WHS and the BCA
  • Ability to access and provide roofing reports preferred
  • Working at heights preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to build/maintain relationships with clients/insurers/brokers
  • Customer focused and professional attitude
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Good problem solving skills and pro active personality
  • Friendly and personable manner
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Current driver's license
