Join our client, a premier High Frequency Trading firm with global influence in their Sydney office, designed to be a high-speed APAC hub for tech-driven trading. Help optimize some of the world's fastest trading systems through deep analysis, prototyping, and performance tuning.

What You'll Do:

Join a mission-critical engineering team dedicated to squeezing microseconds out of ultra-fast trading systems. Use real-world data to uncover performance bottlenecks and make meaningful, measurable improvements. From reverse engineering to automating full-stack measurement pipelines, your work directly shapes how trading decisions are made in real time.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing fast, functional prototypes for new performance-focused tech solutions

Capturing, decoding, and analyzing full network traffic (terabytes per day) to spot inefficiencies

Automating data capture and latency analysis pipelines with scripting tools

Collaborating closely with traders and technologists to communicate insights and implement improvements

Testing early-stage technologies, collaborating with research institutions, and validating real-world applicability

About You:
