Our client is a well-established and highly respected organisation providing advanced electrical solutions to the rail and power industries. They work across a variety of industries such as transport, automation, and energy solutions. They are looking for TWO Electrical Fitters to join their team at their factory site in Wentworth Point to inspect, test and assemble MEA supplied rail and power industry equipment in a service workshop environment.

About the role:

  • Inspect, repair, test and assemble rail and power industry equipment in a workshop environment
  • Carry out electrical wiring to relevant Australian Standards
  • Attend occasional onsite visits to customer or supplier locations
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical equipment
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the workshop
  • Care for tools, equipment and workstations

To be successful, you will possess the following:

  • Trade qualification - Electrical Tradesperson or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian Wiring Rules
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit drawings
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a medium or large manufacturing or maintenance environment
  • Experience with electrical assembly, repair and maintenance
  • Strong crimping skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
