Position Title: Club Manager

Reports to: Chairman of the Management Committee (MC)

Liaises with: Club Members, Suppliers, Bar Manager, Kitchen Manager, Other Employees and other relevant individuals or groups.

General Purpose: To undertake the duties of the general management of the club's maintenance, projects, sponsorship, external relations, activities and the direction and supervision of all staff on a day-to-day basis. To grow the business of the Club. Total hours to be worked include bar duties – hours subject to negotiation.

  • Understanding of business principles and the need to run a professional and profitable business

Skills:

  • Professional customer service,
  • Strong written and oral communication and high interpersonal relations,
  • Ability to manage and develop staff to a professional and efficient level,
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills,
  • Understanding of financial principles and computer proficiency,
  • IT proficiency

Knowledge of:

  • Liquor Act and Gaming Machine Act,
  • Associations Incorporations Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act, and other relevant acts,
  • Rules Ancillary to Gaming and Gambling Help Services
  • Beverage and Cellar Operations
  • Point of sale systems and computer-based stock control systems

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Gaming Nominee Training,
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (LLD),
  • Responsible Conduct of Gambling Certificate.

Desirable:

  • First Aid Qualification,
  • Blue Card,
  • RMLV and Approved Managers License.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $73,273.00 per year

  • Gaming Nominee Licence (Preferred)
