  • Act as the key liaison with Middle Eastern suppliers, customers, and authorities, requiring fluent communication in both English and local dialect.
  • Oversee export documentation, including health and halal certificates, bills of lading, and other required clearances, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise cold chain logistics and maintain product quality through all transport stages.
  • Conduct on-site visits to abattoirs and logistics partners to coordinate production, inspections, and dispatch-activities that cannot be performed effectively while offshore.
  • Manage inventory and monitor stock movement from within Australia, ensuring timely dispatch and real-time problem resolution.
  • Lead face-to-face coordination with local suppliers, staff, freight agents, and shipping partners-functions require in office management and face-to-face presence to ensure operational efficiency, manage compliance risks, and uphold quality standards.
  • Support internal teams with shipment updates and report any issues affecting delivery, documentation, or product quality.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other Middle Eastern language is essential for daily communications with regional stakeholders.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution, ideally in the meat or food sector.
  • Strong understanding of abattoir operations, export protocols, and halal certification processes.
  • Familiarity with Middle Eastern market requirements and import regulations.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with shipping documentation, customs procedures, and logistics software is highly valued.
  • Holds any Professional Interpreting/Translation Certification (highly regarded)
