At UnitingSA, we are looking for a dynamic Housekeeping Services Team Leader to oversee and inspire our hotel services team, ensuring our aged care residents enjoy a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment every day.

About the Role

As our Housekeeping Services Team Leader, you will take ownership of daily housekeeping and laundry operations across the facility. This is not just a supervisory role, you'll lead by example, rolling up your sleeves and setting the standard in room presentation, hygiene practices, and guest service. You'll coordinate team rosters, monitor quality standards, and ensure all activities comply with food safety and infection control regulations.

There are two full-time roles in Hotel Services at West Lakes and Westminster Village in Grange.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a team of Housekeeping Services Assistants to deliver five-star cleaning and laundry services.
• Manage daily operations including room turnovers, communal area upkeep, and personal linen services.
• Provide training and support to staff, ensuring compliance with WHS, infection control, and food safety protocols.
• Coordinate rosters and workloads, conduct quality audits, and support staff performance and development.
• Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to respond to resident needs promptly and professionally.
• Manage stock levels and supplier relationships to ensure equipment and materials are always ready to go.

What You Bring

• Certificate in Supervisory or Frontline Management, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven background in hotel housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or facility services — aged care or healthcare experience is a bonus.
• Strong knowledge of safe work systems, WH&S, and infection control practices.
• A confident, proactive leadership style with excellent communication and team coordination skills.
• A hands-on approach; you're not afraid to jump in and lead from the front.
• Essential: Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check
