Bellmere State School is seeking a dedicated and visionary Deputy Principal - Special Education to join our leadership team and lead the schools Inclusion portfolio. The Deputy Principal - Special Education plays a vital role in delivering the strategic vision of the school and improving the educational outcomes of
students.

The successful applicant will be committed to developing the quality of teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders. This is a temporary full-time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise
determined.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Provide collaborative leadership to develop and enact a shared educational vision within the SEP/ECDP, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students, including those with disability.
  • Support and represent the Principal by deputising as required and upholding the role through ethical, values-based, and socially just leadership.
  • Promote excellence and equity by setting high standards for staff and students, fostering inclusive practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement through strategic planning, future-focused initiatives, and active engagement in professional learning and development.
  • Build strong partnerships and manage resources effectively by collaborating with parents, agencies, community and industry partners, and overseeing human, financial, and curriculum resources to achieve program goals.
