Who We Are:

Hughenden State School is a Prep to Year 12 school within the North Queensland Region, located 380 kilometres west of Townsville.

The school has approximately 114 students with diverse learning needs and interests. Students are supported through access to a rich curriculum and personalised learning plans that enable them to reach their potential. As a P-12 school, Hughenden offers the social and educational benefits of a larger school, while maintaining the supportive and inclusive environment of a small school community.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

This position will be temporarily remunerated at the Level 4 classification, with an annual salary commencing at $167,326. This remuneration applies under the special purpose principal classification provisions outlined in Clause 5.9.5 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022, which provide for a Level 3 school to be allocated a Deputy Principal.
