About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time Financial Accountant role with JR Richards & Sons is based in Forster, NSW. You will play a key part in the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support the organisation's strategic goals.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and analysing monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements

Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring all accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner

Assisting with the preparation of the company's annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors

Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

Providing financial analysis and advice to support decision-making across the business

Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar financial accounting role, preferably within a commercial business

Proficient in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets and financial reporting tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
