We are seeking a dedicated
Heavy Vehicle Roadworthy Inspector
(NHVR Approved Vehicle Examiner or equivalent, such as a VicRoads Licensed Vehicle Tester) to join our team in Brooklyn, Victoria. In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety of Australia's road network by conducting thorough roadworthy inspections on heavy vehicles.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Conducting comprehensive visual inspections to assess the overall condition of heavy vehicles.
  • Performing rigorous mechanical component testing on braking systems, steering, suspension, and other critical systems.
  • Ensuring vehicles comply with all relevant national and state safety standards and regulations, including the National Heavy Vehicle Inspection Manual (NHVIM).
  • Issuing roadworthy certificates for vehicles that meet the required standards.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting any defects in accordance with established procedures.

What We're Looking For:

  • Relevant trade qualifications in heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Accreditation as an NHVR Approved Vehicle Examiner (AVE) and hold the relevant license as a vehicle tester (e.g. VicRoads)
  • A thorough understanding of heavy vehicle safety standards and regulations, particularly the National Heavy Vehicle Inspection Manual (NHVIM).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • A valid HV license.
