Automotive Technician Wanted

We are seeking experienced mechanical inspectors to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

About the Role:

  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Roadworthy Certification: Perform roadworthy checks and ensure all vehicles meet necessary compliance standards.
  • Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs, including brake repairs and engine diagnostics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless workflow and high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and certifications completed.
  • Quality Control: Perform final checks and quality control before vehicle handover to ensure top-quality delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Expertise: Proven experience as a Roadworthy Mechanic with strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for identifying issues and defects, ensuring every vehicle is fully compliant.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical issues, and perform repairs confidently.
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others in a productive team environment.
  • Qualifications: Formal automotive qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology) and/or current RWC Licence are essential.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with electrical diagnostics, air conditioning repairs, and other specialized skills are highly regarded.
