OverviewJoin CARS24 Australia as an experienced Roadworthy Mechanic/Inspector at our Laverton facility.
You will inspect and certify vehicles for roadworthiness to ensure customers drive away in safe, reliable vehicles.ResponsibilitiesVehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic inspections to ensure safety and performance standards.Roadworthy Certification: Perform required roadworthy checks and verify vehicles meet compliance before delivery.Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs, including brake work, engine diagnostics, and suspensionCollaboration: Work with internal teams to maintain smooth workflow and high customer satisfaction.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications.Quality Control: Perform final checks prior to vehicle handover to ensure quality delivery.What We're Looking For (Qualifications)Roadworthy Certification: A valid RWC licence is highly desired to perform roadworthy checks.Mechanical Expertise: Proven experience as a Roadworthy Mechanic with strong automotive knowledge and diagnostic skills.Attention to Detail: Ability to identify issues and ensure full compliance of each vehicle.Problem Solving: Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.Team Player: Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.Communication Skills: Clear communication with team members and customers.Qualifications: Formal automotive qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology) and/or current RWC Licence are essential.Trade qualifications (Australian Apprenticeship) and recognition via TAFE or equivalent are acceptable.Additional Skills (Bonus): Experience with electrical diagnostics, air conditioning repairs, and other specialized skills.BenefitsCompetitive Salary, Super, and BenefitsCareer Progression with rapid growthWeekend overtime and OT on additional hoursTeam Culture: Dynamic, collaborative environmentContinuous Development: Ongoing training and development in automotive technologiesJob DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: OtherIndustries: IT Services and IT ConsultingNote: All roles at Cars24 are subject to a police check to maintain integrity and safety.
