Qualifications & Experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Experience using GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) or EMI (Electromagnetic Induction)
  • Previous labouring experience within the Construction Industry
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Must hold a Class C (car) driver's licence

The Role

As a Trainee Service Locator, you will receive on the job training and work towards achieving CERTLOC accreditation. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Locating and identifying underground utilities including telecommunications, electricity, gas, water, sewer and stormwater.
  • Learning to read and interpret Before You Dig plans.
  • Completing reports, job dockets, and other site documentation.
  • Carrying out vehicle and site pre-start checks.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure site requirements are met.
  • Demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position.
